Patchogue Arts Council is looking for volunteers to help with art, music and poetry events by handing out information and interacting with the public at the art gallery. They also need volunteers who are interested in data entry and compiling mailings to be sent to the public. They offer discounts to local businesses and a “Rewards Raffle” where volunteers could win gift certificates, concert tickets and hockey tickets. Breast Cancer Helpin Bay Shore is looking for a volunteer “Reiki” therapist as well as someone to lead a support group for breast cancer survivors (possibly a retired Social Worker). The support group leader is needed only once a month on the fourth Wednesday in the evening. A volunteer massage therapist, reflexology therapist, and art therapist are needed as well. |
