ABOVE AND BEYOND


Sagtikos Manor, located in Bay Shore, is looking for volunteers to act as docents to help with tours of the Manor, which is currently open on Saturday and Sunday during the summer months. They have other positions available as well.

Family Service League is in need of volunteers to become Long Term Care Ombudsmen. They advocate for and resolve problems for individuals living in long-term care communities by protecting rights, honoring dignity, and ensuring respect.

Gerald J. Ryan Outreach Center, in Wyandanch, has an urgent need for volunteers to assist in the Food Pantry by organizing and restocking food shelves. This task does require some lifting. Also needed are volunteers to prepare food bags for Day Shelter clients. And lastly, volunteers are needed to help and sort clothing in the Clothing Room.

Pronto, in Bay Shore, is looking for volunteers to help in the office with phones and clerical work. They also need people to help in the Thrift Center and Pantry.

RSVP HAS NEW PARTNERS...

Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, located at 71 East Main Street in Patchogue, the theatre is excited to announce that they are re-opening in September! They are accepting new volunteers to welcome theatre goers, check tickets, usher patrons to their seats and hand out playbills. Skills needed are standing, walking back and forth down the theatre aisles and the ability to smile and be welcoming. United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island is looking for volunteers to bring their passion and share their hobby of interest with individuals or small groups of adults with developmental disabilities, looking to increasing their knowledge and skills in the areas of art, music, fitness, and craft.

The Community Computer Connections Program needs new volunteers to deliver and install our refurbished computers and laptops to our veterans and individual clients. Also, because of the great demand, there is an urgent need for used laptop donations. Please reach out to us at 631-979-9490
