Dear RSVP Volunteers,
With sincere gratitude, I wish to thank you for your kindness and dedicated commitment to volunteer service. All of us at RSVP want you to know that your efforts are valued and deeply appreciated.
We have always been able to thank and honor our volunteers at our annual Tribute Day gathering when possible. Last year, I felt unbelievably blessed to share this wonderful event with you. However, this year we plan on celebrating your contributions and expressing our thanks at smaller events throughout the coming months. Everyone will be receiving a special gift along with our 52nd Anniversary Booklet. We will be in touch very soon to schedule time together and hope that you can join us for this special occasion.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for volunteering with your family, friends and organizations in your community. We are all working hard to get the word out about RSVP – our mission, our programs and services and, of course, providing experienced volunteers to help and support our over 50 Not-For-Profit partnering organizations throughout Suffolk County. Please reach out to us if you know of an individual, group or business who could benefit from learning about RSVP. We would be happy to speak to them and share our mission and goals.
What are our mission and goals? Founded in 1972, RSVP is a 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit organization whose mission is to provide rewarding volunteer opportunities for residents age 55+ who want to share their unique talents and make a difference in their community. Dedicated to incorporating the values of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility into all our activities, we recruit and match volunteers with non-profit community organizations ranging from hospitals and nursing homes to organizations that assist the under-served community. Our goal is to match seniors with volunteer placements in which both the volunteers and the community placement organizations will benefit. Volunteers benefit from appropriate and rewarding volunteer placements. Community organizations benefit from the skills and experience of seniors who volunteer at their sites to assist their patrons.
Thank you for your service and support. You are truly amazing. We are so proud to work with you!
Sincerely,
Maryflorence Brennan
